Saturday was a spendid ocassion for the wedding celebration of Scott and Caroline in a garden marquee setting in the rural Surrey countryside. Guests had travelled from far and wide - Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, and also a large contingent (many kilted) from Scotland, as Scott's family are from there.
The marquee was beautifully and discretely decorated and I chose the stunning starlight booth to complement the set up. I set up early with speakers initially at either end of the marquee for good sound for the wedding breakfast music and accompanying speeches; they were brought back together for the evening entertainment.
A high quality wireless mic was supplied for the speeches.
At the end of the speeches we moved swiftly on to the cake cutting and then the First Dance - Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline for which a specially choreographed dance was created by the happy couple. The guests loved it and they were joined by many of them on the dance floor in the latter stages of it. Thereafter I played many classic party tracks that generally appeal across all age groups (see the full playlist below), and thereafter we moved to a special part of the entertainment - Scottish dancing - called by the groom's father.
The rest of the evening went very well and for the last hour in particular the dance floor was rammed.
